OVERVIEW

Riga Vloeren is a flooring retailer with a showroom full of options. For a shopper, that choice is the problem as much as the appeal: with so many floors on display, it's hard to know which one actually fits your space, style, and budget, and staff can't personally guide everyone who walks in.


We built an interactive application that runs on an in-store information kiosk. It guides shoppers through a short flow to find the floors that suit them, then continues on their own phone so they can explore the showroom at their own pace, ending in a request for a quote on the floors they like most.

CHALLENGES

Riga Vloeren's showroom is full of sample boards, but a shopper has no way of knowing which of them are actually relevant to their home. Solid oak, smoked oak, PVC with an oak look, herringbone, every board looks like an option, yet only a handful truly fit a given shopper's style, living situation, and technical requirements.


Without guidance, people drift past dozens of boards they'll never pick, lose the overview, and often leave without a clear shortlist or a quote. And staff can't personally walk every visitor through the showroom.

How do you point each shopper straight to the few sample boards that actually fit them, and keep them on track all the way to a quote?

SOLUTIONS

We built an in-store kiosk application with a mobile handoff, powered by a completely custom configurator in Filament.

  • A guided flow on the in-store kiosk that narrows the full range down to a personal match based on the shopper's answers.

  • A QR handoff: scan to continue the exact same flow on your phone, so you can walk the showroom hands-free.

  • In-store navigation: the mobile flow directs shoppers to the right sample boards, "go to board X, then board Y", turning the showroom into a guided route.

  • Quote selection: at the end, shoppers pick the floors they want a quote for, capturing a qualified lead for the team.

  • A complete custom configurator in Filament where Riga Vloeren manages and fully customizes the entire flow, questions, products, boards, and routing, with no developer needed.

RESULTS

The kiosk turned passive browsing into a guided, personalized experience. Instead of wandering a showroom full of options, shoppers now get a shortlist of floors that genuinely fit their style and technical situation, a clear route past the right sample boards, and a simple way to turn that visit into a concrete quote request. And because the entire flow runs on a configurator the team controls themselves, Riga Vloeren can adjust the questions, products, and routing in Filament whenever their range changes, without ever involving a developer.
