touchbase is a Dutch care technology company that developed a contactless sensor for elderly care. The sensor detects fall incidents, provides sleep insights, monitors changes in daily routines, and signals nighttime wandering or restlessness, all without requiring the user to wear or operate any device. Family members and caregivers receive real-time notifications and detailed reports on sleep patterns and daily movement, helping them know when things are going well and when to pay extra attention.


The company needed a professional online presence that could do more than showcase their product, it had to sell it, capture leads, and give the team full control over their content.

CHALLENGES

Touchbase had outgrown what Shopify could offer for a single-product business. They needed a website that felt tailored to their brand, integrated directly with Stripe for payments and HubSpot for lead tracking, and gave the team autonomy over every piece of content, from blog posts and FAQs to testimonials and product pages. A generic e-commerce template was not going to cut it.

How do you build a platform that handles product sales, lead generation, and content management, without being locked into the limitations of an off-the-shelf e-commerce solution?

SOLUTIONS

The platform was built with Laravel, React, and Inertia.js, combining a polished public-facing website with a comprehensive admin dashboard. Rather than stitching together third-party plugins, every feature was custom-built to fit touchbase's workflow, from checkout to content management to analytics.

  • Product pages, blog articles, FAQs, testimonials, and contact forms, all fully managed from the backend without developer involvement.

  • Stripe integration: A complete checkout flow for purchasing the touchbase sensor, including coupon support and order management.

  • HubSpot integration: Contact form submissions are automatically synced to HubSpot as potential leads, giving the sales team immediate visibility into new prospects.

  • Analytics & tracking: Data layers for Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, fully configurable from the admin settings, giving the marketing team control over tracking without requiring code changes.

  • Multi-language support: A built-in language switcher allowing visitors to browse the website in their preferred language, with all translations managed directly from the admin dashboard.

  • Admin dashboard: A full management panel covering content (pages, blogs, FAQs, testimonials), shop operations (products, orders, coupons), communication (contact requests), and settings (activity log, users, translations, languages, and analytics configuration).
